Salt recommended for brining: fine medium coarse grain sea salt or the Vacuum High-purity saltaccording to the process used.
Breadmaking and confectionery
Salt has an essential role in bread, because it enhances its rich flavouraffecting its consistency, colourand conservation.
Salt recommended for bread making and bakery or fried products: Fine dried sea salt or high-purity recrystallized salt. For dough and preparation of crackers/breadsticks, a medium size grain is preferable.
Cold cuts and cured meats
Different products and production methods require a different type of salt.
In general, two types of salting are used: dry salting and brining. Salt recommended for both processes: sea salt for food use.
Preserves
Since ancient times, preserves were prepared at home and stored to be eaten when fresh food was finished.
When in the mid-19th centurythe food industry was born the production of preserves started. The salt allows to prepare them by brining.
Zootechnics
Salt is an important supplement for livestock feeding since it contains natural oligo-elements essential for nutrition.
Fine/medium sea salt is used to produce both supplements and animal feed.
